Use welcoming and inclusive language

Unacceptable Behaviors

Sexualized language or imagery; unwelcome sexual advances
Trolling, insults, personal/political attacks
Harassment, bullying, or intimidation of any kind (public or private)
Publishing private information without explicit consent
Conduct inappropriate for a professional/aviation environment
Political debates or discussions of ongoing political issues
Any activity that disrupts harmony or community focus

💬 Discord & Community Spaces

JAL Virtual uses Discord as our primary hub for communication, support, and events. Access is under the Members Login Resources tab on the website.

🚫 Discord Rules — Strictly Prohibited

Use of alternate (alt) Discord accounts—use your main with Pilot ID
Soundboards, mic changers, or audio spam
Political topics or debate of any kind
Drama or personal disputes brought into public channels
Harassment, bullying, or targeting other pilots
Advertising or promoting external products/services
NSFW (Not Safe For Work) content of any form
Sharing or posting pirated items or unauthorized content

Violating any of these rules may result in immediate removal from JAL Virtual.

🛡️ Staff Responsibilities & Enforcement

Staff are responsible for clarifying standards and ensuring fair enforcement.
Reports of abuse, harassment, or rule violations are handled promptly, confidentially, and fairly.
Consequences for violations may include:
- Warning
- Temporary suspension
- Permanant removal (ban) — at the sole discretion of the JAL Virtual staff team

📝 Reporting Guide

Contact a JALV staff member directly, or use the designated reporting channel on Discord.
Provide as much detail as possible (user, time, description, screenshots if available).
All reports are confidential and will be investigated quickly.
Retaliation against reporters is strictly prohibited.

This Code of Conduct applies to all JAL Virtual platforms and activities:
Discord channels, forums, and group chats
Social media and online meetings
All official in-game or real-life JALV events

Is debate or constructive criticism allowed?

Yes—respectful discussion and constructive criticism are encouraged. Personal attacks, harassment, or intentionally inflammatory comments are not.

What happens after I report a violation?

Staff will review your report, investigate the incident confidentially, and take any needed action. You may be contacted for follow-up if necessary.

What if I need to appeal a staff decision?

You may respectfully request a review by another staff member or submit a formal appeal through the designated channel.
